She REALLY wanted that biscuit! Greedy puppy is rushed to the vets after getting her head stuck in a glass cookie jar while trying to steal a treat
A hungry puppy landed her owner with a vet bill after getting her head stuck in a cookie jar while trying to nab a biscuit.
Mother-of-two Sarah Unwin, of Rugby, Warwickshire, was horrified when her four-month-old Rhodesian Ridgeback Clara got her head stuck in the glass jar.
After attempts to free her with soap and washing up liquid ended in vain, the 26-year-old and her husband Ben were forced to take her to the vets, who eventually got her out for a fee of £30.
Images show sneaky Clara peering out of the glass jar – as if wearing it like an astronaut's helmet.
Mrs Unwin admitted this was not the first time the mischievous pup has got herself into trouble, and is often caught stealing her five-year-old daughter's Barbie dolls.
She said: 'The kids had been having the biscuits that were in the cookie jar and there was half of one left in it.
'Before I managed to close the lid, Clara had rammed her head inside and got stuck.
'The vets took her into the back and somehow managed to get it off. I think they just greased her up more - they thought it was quite funny.'
She added: 'Clara is very cheeky and always trying to play with everyone.
'She tries to jump into the little trailers that the kids have and my parents have a fish pond that she always tries to stick her head in.
'She sat in the tub last night. I think she wanted that to be her bed for the night.'
