That sinking feeling! Toddler walks through wet concrete in her family's basement in hilarious home-improvement fail
A Tennessee toddler nearly ruined her parents home improvement project when she walked through freshly poured concrete in her basement.
Two-year-old Izzadora Millaway and her siblings were being watched by their grandmother upstairs while workers paved their basement on Friday.
But the little girl sneaked downstairs when she heard her parents' voices.
Workers with Porter Concrete Construction Co. found the little girl trudging through the freshly poured concrete.
'We were putting our tools back in the truck and I thought, "Well, I’ll just go over here and look inside the basement and see how it’s firming up,"' Jonathan Porter, the owner of the company, told Live News. 'And I saw the little girl standing there.
Porter called out to the girls parents, who were standing just outside the basement, to let them know that she had wandered down.
'I was kind of shocked and I figured Jonathan was going to have a conniption fit,' the girl's mother, Sara Millaway, said. 'He actually thought it was rather comical.'
'I picked her up and we laughed about it,' he said. 'Normally we see dogs and cats in this, but not little kids.'
Porter says the girl's parents were able to wash all of the concrete off, and his workers filled in the holes once it hardened.
The Millaways did leave one set of Izzadora's footprints in the pavement, to mark the occasion.
