She's got a type! Mel B is 'dating a real life Beverly Hills cop... 11 years after splitting from iconic movie star Eddie Murphy'






She raises daughter Angel, ten, with her ex Eddie Murphy, with whom she is now on good terms after he initially denied he was the father of her child.

And Mel B seemingly has a type since it has been claimed by TMZ that she is dating a real life Beverly Hills cop - much like the character the comedian famously played in the film franchise.

The former Spice Girl, 40, has reportedly been secretly dating a policeman for the last few months, following her bitter separation from husband Stephen Belafonte.



Mel allegedly met the cop through mutual friends and their romance blossomed quickly, with the site claiming she is 'nuts' about her new partner.



While they are keeping their relationship 'low-key', Mel B's mystery man is said to have accompanied her to several America's Got Talent screenings and to events.

TMZ claims one of the reasons Mel likes the cop so much is because he carries a gun and she's 'scared' of her estranged husband Stephen.

It has previously been reported that Mel has obtained a restraining order against her ex amid allegations he carries a gun.
