But Jade Thirlwall was keen to cast her career woes aside as she enjoyed a sun-drenched holiday with friends to the Greek island of Mykonos.
Dubbing the break 'heaven on earth, the Little Mix singer, 24, showcased her toned abs in a skimpy sequinned bikini as she posed against an idyllic sandy backdrop.
The brunette beauty also shared a post-night out snap with her gang of friends, captioning it: 'Had one of my most favourite nights with some of my most favourite people.'
Jade seemed to be having no trouble forgetting her recent spurn, after she lost out on the opportunity to play the Disney princess Jasmine.
She appeared to make a thinly veiled dig after losing out on her 'dream' role when she shared a Instagram post on Saturday when Disney announced the final cast list.
In the sultry snap, the Shout Out To My Ex hitmaker posed with a pistol, with a message attached to it which was emblazoned with the phrase 'over it'.
Jade lost out on the role to actress and singer Naomi Scott, 24, who landed the part in the upcoming flick.
Naomi tweeted: 'So excited to be a part of this adventure! This is gonna be fun :)' (sic)
Will Smith, 48, who had already been named as taking on the role of the Genie, has now been confirmed along with newcomer Mena Massoud who will play Aladdin.
The casting was announced at Disney's D23 Expo in California on Saturday.
