The terrifying moment a dump truck with its bucket RAISED smashes through a sign on Texas highway
A video shows the terrifying moment a dump truck smashes into a trestle over a busy Houston highway sending scrap metal flying through the air and crushing the truck.
Carlos Escobedo and his father were driving behind the big rig and filmed the whole incident on a cell phone.
The dump truck had its bucket raised and the driver appeared to be unaware.
Other motorists tried to warn the driver but couldn't get their attention in time.
The raised bucket hit the signs and brought the whole thing crashing down on top of the truck and frightened other drivers.
Escobedo posted the video on Facebook with the caption: 'This was just me and my dad Rn we almost died we were tryna (sic) signal him but f**k we lucky to be alive'.
The impact was so forceful that it flipped the dump truck.
The video is going viral and has been viewed almost 13 million times since it was posted Thursday night.
The northbound lanes of the East Loop highway were closed for hours while authorities cleaned up the scene.
The condition of the driver is not currently known.
