I can barely stand up!' Shocking moment heroic reporter continues her live broadcast during massive hail storm in Turkey
A massive hail storm didn't stop one dedicated journalist from reporting her story on live TV in Istanbul, Turkey.
'I can barely stand up,' the reporter says in a video shared by ABC News.
The video showed the journalist being pelted by the hail as they storm interrupted her broadcast about Istanbul's severe summer hailstorm.
On a few occasions, the anchor she shares the screen with, at the studio, looks concerned for her safety.
'Just give us pictures,' he said.
But the reporter, stood her ground in a blue windbreaker while she pummeled by the hail stones.
The news anchor also told the reporter to head to safety, but she can be seen in the video taking an umbrella from her co-worker.
After a few moments under the shield of the umbrella, the wind becomes too strong and she's forced to put it down.
She then continues to weather the storm by turning her back to the hail as she gives her report.
Finally, she took a seat outside near some bushes before she ended the broadcast.
The severe summer storm hit Istanbul with heavy rain and hail on Thursday, knocking down trees and a stone wall and flooding the city's streets as it left at least three people injured.
Part of a stone wall surrounding a cemetery for the city's Christian Armenian community was demolished in the storm, injuring two people, according to NTV.
Television footage showed rescue crews and residents helping each other to remove the stones, looking for people who may have been trapped beneath the rubble.
The high winds also toppled a large crane that landed on oil barrels, causing an explosion and fire at a port.
At least one person was injured in the fire, which was later brought under control. A small depot also caught fire after being hit by lightning.
Heavy rainfall disrupted the evening rush hour traffic, stranding vehicles in flooded streets. Delays were reported at Istanbul's main airport and some planes were diverted to other airports.
NTV television showed people leaving a bus that was stranded in a flooded underpass and walking to safety in waist-high waters. Hail the size of golf balls also damaged some windows and car windshields.
It was the second time in 10 days that heavy rain had inundated the streets of Istanbul.
